What people say after a month of shifts.

★★★★★ 4.7 from verified buyers

Paul H. ★★★★★ Roofer · Newcastle

Worth it for the cushion alone

The padding under the heel and the ball is the whole point for me. I'm on pitched roofs and ladder rungs all day and that is exactly where everything lands. Worth the money for that on its own.

Danny O. ★★★★★ Plumber · Liverpool

Dry at the end of the day

In and out of boots all day and my feet used to come out damp every single time. These come off dry, even through summer.

Mike F. ★★★★★ Steel fixer · Middlesbrough

Heavy boots, no complaints

Heavy rigger boots, steel toe, concrete underfoot. They haven't bunched or twisted round my foot and I have not had to think about my socks once since I got them.

Jason L. ★★★★★ Paramedic · Nottingham

Long shifts, standing most of it

Twelve hour shifts and most of it on my feet. Got these on a recommendation from a mate on site and they work just as well on hospital floors.

Steve C. ★★★★ Joiner · Edinburgh

Good, but I would size up

No complaints about the cushion or the way they hold. I am a 9 and took the 8.5 to 11, but with the extra padding they are a snug fit and I would go up next time.

Still going after six months

Six months of groundworks, mud, wet and cold, and they have washed back up fine every time. No thinning at the heel yet.

Kev S. ★★★★★ Bricklayer · Stoke

No blisters on the new site

Started a new job in new boots, which normally means a fortnight of blisters while they break in. Did not get a single one.

Ian W. ★★★★★ Forklift driver · Derby

Feet stopped aching by Thursday

Stood on a steel platform for most of the shift. By the second week the ache I had put up with for years had gone quiet. Not what I expected from a pair of socks.

Ordered a set for the lads

Bought a set for myself and then got them for four of the lads at Christmas. Nobody has complained, and from that crew that is high praise.

The padding sits where the load actually lands.

Cushioning is not new. Mapping it to a standing trade is. Dense under the heel and ball where the force concentrates, deliberately thin everywhere else.

Vented meshZoned cushionReinforced toe & heel

Zoned cushion

Two dense zones placed under the heel and the ball of the foot. The rest of the knit stays thin, so fit inside the boot is unchanged.

Reinforced heel + toe

Double-knit nylon through the heel and toe — the two points that fail first on almost every sock we tested.

Vented + dry

Mesh venting through the instep moves moisture out across a long shift. A non-wool blend, so no itch and no overheating in summer.

Your feet do the whole shift with you.

The problem was never the boots.

A safety boot is built to protect, not to cushion — the stiffness is deliberate. But a hard floor returns every bit of that load, and it has nowhere to go except up through you.

Regular sock vs Graft & Co work sock

Identical boot, identical floor. One variable: the sock.

A full shift on concrete, with nothing in between you and the floor.

There is roughly an inch of material available to absorb that. We spent the development budget on that inch.

They stay up without gripping your calf.

Three hold points share the work, so no single band has to pull hard enough to leave a mark by lunchtime.

1 — Ribbed cuff2 — Arch band3 — Heel pocket
01

Wide ribbed cuff

A deep, low-tension band spreads the hold over more of the calf instead of biting into one line.

02

Arch-lock band

A gentle mid-foot band keeps the cushion sitting where it was knitted to sit, step after step.

03

Heel pocket + pull tab

A shaped heel stops the sock rotating into your boot, and the tab makes them quick to pull on.

Work socks are not built the same.

A supermarket multipack, a premium wool pair, and a sock engineered for standing trades. Side by side.

– A dash means the result depends on the brand.

Wool makes a good sock. It was simply never designed for a standing trade.

Who actually builds these

I'm not a sock company. I'm a groundworker who got sick of his feet aching.

Thirty-one years on the tools. I built the sock I always wanted on site.

I'm not going to tell you I dreamed up a sock company. I'm a groundworker — thirty-one years of concrete pours, slab work and warehouse floors.

You don't feel it at thirty. At fifty-four my youngest asked why I had to sit down before I could manage the stairs. I blamed my age and my boots. Four pairs in six years, chasing it.

Then a podiatrist asked what I had on under them. Supermarket three-packs. The boots were fine — the sock had packed flat weeks earlier, and there was nothing left between my heel and the slab.

Nothing on the shelf fixed that. Nobody made one for a man stood on a slab twelve hours — or a nurse on a ward, a chef on a kitchen floor, a driver in and out of a cab. So I had it made.

Cushioned where the floor hits. Reinforced where they always go first. A cuff that holds without strangling your leg. I gave fifty pairs away — wear them till they fail, then tell me. Three failures in twelve months. Forty-seven still going.

The boots were never the problem. There was just nothing left between my heel and the floor.

If a pair ever gives out on you, that's on me. Not you. That's what the 365-shift guarantee is for.

Same sock, three heights

Need a different height?

Same zoned cushion and the same 365-shift guarantee in all three. The only difference is how far up your leg they go.

One order can mix all three heights. Buy 2 pairs, get 2 free, applied automatically.

The straight answers, before you order.

No small print. The questions we get asked most, answered plainly.

What size do I order?

Three sizes cover everyone: M is UK 5–8, L is UK 8.5–11, XL is UK 11.5–14. Order your normal shoe size — the cushioning is built into the knit, so you do not need to go up a size for it. If you sit right between two, take the larger.

Is there any wool in them?

None, and that is deliberate. Wool is warm, it itches a lot of people, and it is miserable inside a sealed boot in July. These use a performance knit that pulls sweat off the skin instead of holding onto it. No itch, no rash, no overheating.

Will they keep my feet dry?

That is what the mesh panel across the instep is for. It vents while the knit moves moisture off your skin and out, so you are not standing in it by hour eight. Most people notice it on the drive home — boots off, feet dry.

When will I feel the difference?

First shift. The cushion under the heel and the ball is the part you feel straight away. The rest of it — still dry at four o'clock, no hot spots, no ring left round your calf — shows up by the end of the day.

How do I wash them?

Machine wash cold and tumble dry low, in with the rest of your washing. No hand washing, no drying flat, no special detergent. Treat them like any other sock and the cushion keeps its shape.

How does the 365-shift guarantee work?

Wear a pair through inside 365 shifts — 500 days from the day they land — and we replace it free. Email a photo of the worn pair and a new one goes out. You do not post the old pair back and you do not need the receipt.

How do the bundles work?

Buy 2 pairs and the next 2 are free — applied automatically in the cart, nothing to type in. The 7-pack is a fixed price and works out at the lowest cost per pair. One order can mix all three heights.

What does shipping cost, and how fast?

Free UK shipping on every order, sent with Royal Mail — insured and tracked, every parcel. You get a tracking link by email as soon as it leaves. Most orders arrive within 5 to 9 working days.

What if they are not for me?

Wear them for a fortnight and put them through real shifts. If they are not the best work sock you own, send them back within 30 days for a full refund — worn, washed, it makes no difference. Return postage is at your own cost.
